MARY ESTHER — A restaurant specializing in Cajun-style boiled seafood opened on Mary Esther Cut-Off on Sunday.

The Juicy Crab House, a Florida-based seafood chain located the former Hickory River Smokehouse, is a 300-seat casual eatery serving an array of locally caught seafood.

Tommy Zou, the general manager, said customers can choose between half or whole pound of king crab, snow crab, blue crab, shrimp, crawfish, lobster and more. A half pound of blue crab is $8, while a half pound of the snow crab is $18.

All the boiled food comes with corn and potatoes.

"We also have friend shrimp, fried oysters, raw oysters, hush puppies, chicken wings, french fries, chicken tenders and fried tilapia," Zou said. "We have a little bit of everything, but we specialize in the boiled seafood."

Zou said customers love the Louisiana-style seafood boil. Now he hopes even more locals and visitors will try the new eatery.

"We want, and do, make it very fresh, and we want everyone coming to enjoy what they're eating," Zou said. "You can even choose your own style of seafood, like you can do a pound of shrimp and snow crab with corn and potatoes. Or you can do crawfish and shrimp. You choose."

The restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m.-11 p.m.
